The first day of spring

The first day of spring is less than a month away, and we’re already getting requests for pool and liner installation quotes. We’re so happy our solid reputation is leading people to us – we’ve tried hard over the past 32 years to live up to our name.

Speaking of spring, we all know we’ll be getting several inches of rain, which slows down new pool installations. We can’t excavate in mud.

Mother Nature rules any outdoor construction – in our case, we need dry ground, sun or partial sun, and warm weather – at least 65 degrees. Even so, we will always start the season with liner replacement projects and pool openings. As the weather permits, we will move on to smaller pool installations (15’ to 24’ pools). Larger pools will be waiting for warmer weather. No one can say when that weather will come – could be by the end of April; could be the end of May – there’s no set date. Believe me when I tell you that we want to install your pool asap, but we won’t do it if it’s not going to be done right.

There are things you can do to speed up the process – check out our section entitled, “YOUR PROJECT.”

One more thing – please don’t plan a pool party until after your pool is actually installed. Something to remember – you need to wait three days after the pool is filled to get into it. The sand underneath the liner must firm up, which is done by the weight of the water in the pool compressing the sand. If you don’t wait three days, you may have footprints in the bottom of the pool, making it difficult to vacuum.

Our office officially opens on March 1, 2021email us or give us a call to discuss your project! Thanks!
